The 36-pound flywheel and belt-drive system (as opposed to a chain) offer a smooth, quiet ride, and are adjustable via a knob below the handlebar. The handlebar has many hand position options and is height-adjustable, allowing you to find a position that’s comfortable so you can ride longer.
As you would expect, there are three areas of adjustability with the saddle height and distance from the handlebars being adjustable as well as the height of the handlebars. This gives an additional 11cm of height and means those at the upper end of the height range will be well catered for. The Wattbike Atom is actually the second iteration thereof, and for a while was known as the Atom 'Next Generation'. But as the original has been replaced over time, the suffix has been dropped. That said, many connected bikes require the user to adjust the bike to match the resistance level stated by the instructor – whether live or in a pre-recorded class – so these tend to favour magnetic resistance as this makes it possible to crank things up from, say, a suggested effort level of 5 to 35 with greater accuracy.
