All is not what it seems, however, for with the world threatened by the new and dastardly supervillain known as Eduardo (Benjamin Bratt), it falls to the unique talents of Gru and his Minions to step up to the plate and finally save the day. What ensues is a hilarious mix of misbehaving minions and wicked antics set to send family winter evenings alight! Watched it over Christmas with the family (and several times since then), and as an in-law said, you could put this on repeat play and the family would just sit there and watch it over and over again. The AVL is certain that the culprit is covering his tracks by posing as a small business owner at a local mall, and assign their best agent Lucy (Kristen Wiig) to aid Gru in identifying him.Together with the eccentric AVL agent, Lucy Wilde, Gru concludes that his prime suspect is the presumed dead super villain, El Macho, whose teenage son is also making the moves on his eldest daughter, Margo. More importantly though we get to see the Minions again, which although milked slightly, are just as funny as they were before. One of the world's greatest super-villains has just met his greatest challenge: three little girls named Margo, Edith and Agnes.
