About this deal
By 1957, the teenagers had their first minor success with "Hey Schoolgirl", a song imitating their idols the Everly Brothers. In 1963, they regrouped and were signed to Columbia Records. Their debut, Wednesday Morning, 3 A.M., sold poorly, and they once again disbanded. This list comprises their core studio work, including their songs under the name Tom and Jerry. The duo's multiple live albums contain cover songs as well as music from their respective solo careers; only said cover songs are listed here. In all, Simon & Garfunkel recorded and released 75 songs, including nineteen songs as Tom and Jerry. All the singles included, except "America," " El Condor Pasa (If I Could)," and " Scarborough Fair/Canticle" made the Top Ten, with the last peaking at No. 11. " Mrs. Robinson" topped the chart aided by its appearance in Mike Nichols' hit movie The Graduate. " The Sound of Silence" and " Bridge over Troubled Water" also peaked at No. 1 as singles in their studio versions, and "The Boxer" peaked as a single at No. 7.
