In exchange, Savathûn will reveal the key to the portal through the Traveler where The Witness is preparing to enact The Final Shape. Guardians will harness arcane Hive magic as they help their ally Eris Morn prepare for the showdown against the Hive god of war by transforming into a Hive god herself. Letter of Introduction: These worlds were once ours. If you accept your destiny, you will be asked to do the impossible. Lightfall's campaign is the narrative core of the expansion, as its story will capitalize on plot threads from previous DLCs and seasons while also laying the foundations for future ones. In it, players will travel to Neomuna on Neptune and fight to stop Emperor Calus — now a Disciple of the Witness, the entity behind the Darkness — and his Shadow Legion from overwhelming the city. Season of the Seraph's finale quest also revealed that Neomuna is home to The Veil, an ancient paracausal object with direct ties to the Traveler and its Light. New extended Destiny 2 content plan revealed, three Episodes coming in 2024 detailing the aftermath of The Final Shape.Neomuna, a neon-soaked metropolis built on the surface of Neptune, serves as the primary setting for the Lightfall DLC and its activities. Defended by humans called Cloud Striders that enhanced themselves with nanotechnology, Neomuna has come under assault by both Emperor Calus and his Shadow Legion and the armies of the Vex. Throughout Lightfall, players will have the ability to explore the city and discover its secrets while helping the Cloud Striders fend off the invading forces. Notably, Bungie says that Neomuna will be as large as the Europa and Savathun's Throne World locations from the Beyond Light and The Witch Queen DLCs, respectively.
